Settlements and Verdicts
- Car-Semi truck- 1.3 Million dollar settlement for 30 year old women who was a passenger in a car traveling northbound on a highway. Semi truck turned directly onto the road in front of the car and the vehicles collided. She sustained a closed head injury resulting in cognitive difficulties including impaired memory, perceptual and sensory functions. She has limited range of motion and suffers pain her neck shoulders and back. She was previously a school bus driver earning $16,000.00 per year.
- Car-Van- $909,000.00 Jury verdict for women rear-ended by a large utility van while turning into work driveway. She suffered a closed head injury with memory loss, constant headaches requiring daily pain medication, and photo sensitivity. She lost her job of 11 years, but was eventually able to obtain lesser employment.
- Car-Semi Truck- $425,000.00 Settlement for elderly couple injured when semi driver blocked road while attempting to back a semi into his driveway. The trailer extended completely over both lanes of the road on a dark winter night. The victims were unable to see trailer until it was too late. - Wrongful Death- $250,000.00 Settlement - An 18 year old young man operating a motorcycle on a rural road was killed when a farmer turned in front of him while operating a tractor. The farmer was pulling a manure spreader and had seen the motorcycle coming towards him prior to the collision. The motorcycle struck the rear tires of the tractor instantly killing the 18 year old victim.

The victim was a passenger in a company vehicle. The victim sustained fractured pelvis requiring surgery and placement of internal fixations. The driver of the at fault vehicle had minimum policy limits of $20,000.00. Consequently a claim was made under the company vehicle policy under insured motorist provision.
- Pedestrian-Car- Settlement of insurance policy limits for woman that was injured while stopped and walking at the rear of her car. The victim was in the process of changing seats. She was stopped at the shoulder of the highway when a driver who fell asleep at the wheel drifted off the road and crashed into a police car. The police car lunged forward pinning her legs between her car and the police car. She suffered catastrophic crushing injuries to both legs.
- Wrongful Death- Pedestrian- Settlement of policy limits for wrongful death of 17 year old boy killed while waiting for a school bus. The victim was killed when a driver lost control of his vehicle in the early morning hours and ran over the victim and a stop sign. The driver was convicted of a crime as a result of the accident.
Recent Cases
- Semi Tractor / Utility Van- Client is a 44 year old man who sustained multiple serious injuries requiring emergency surgery after a Semi -Tractor failed to stop for a red light. The client was a seat belted passenger in a utility Van being operated his friend. The friend died in the incident. The client required emergency surgery for an intraabdominal hemotoma, resulting in multiple surgical repairs to internal organs.
High Speed Chase leading to Crash- Client is a 22 year old man who sustained multiple serious injuries including a concussion, six left rib fractures, and a punctured lung, after being broad sided by a minivan that ran a red light. At the time of the crash, the 23 year old operator of the minivan was involved in a high speed chase with the police. The operator of the minivan was later charged with operating while intoxicated and fleeing and eluding police. The client’s claim was made under his own insurance policy covering uninsured motorist. It was revealed the driver did not have permission to operate the minivan.
Head on Collision- Client is a 38 year old female who sustained a Fractured right leg, Fractured right arm, contusions to the forehead and other injuries, after a vehicle crossed the center line and hit her head-on. The at fault vehicle was traveling too fast for conditions on a wet pavement when she lost control of her vehicle and started to fish-tail causing her to cross the medium.
Semi/ tractor trailer caused rear-end collision with truck pulling flat bed- Clients sustained multiple injuries when their truck, while pulling a loaded flat bed, was struck in the rear by a Semi/ tractor trailer. The impact caused the truck and flat bed to rotate counter clockwise and dislodge their load onto the highway. Clients truck continued across left lane and struck the guard rail and came to rest facing the opposite direction.
- Head On Collision- The victim was injured when a car failed to yield and pulled directly in front of the victim’s vehicle causing a head-on collision. The Police Report indicated that the driver of the at fault vehicle was .30 BAC and intoxicated at the time of the collision. The victim sustained a serious right wrist fracture and underwent an open reduction surgery and placement of internal fixations.
- Failure to Yield/Motor Vehicle Accident- The victim was traveling eastbound on a country road when a vehicle traveling westbound was distracted by glare on the windshield and made a left turn directly in front of the victim’s vehicle. The high speed collision caused major damage to both vehicles and trapped the victim who had to be extracted with the Jaws of Life. The victim was air lifted to the hospital in critical condition with multiple fractures.
- Moped/Pedestrian- The victim is a 15 year old young woman who was roller-skating across the street when she was struck by a moped. The moped driver was unregistered and failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign causing the victim to violently crash to the ground. As a result of the accident the victim sustained a severely fractured left elbow which required an open reduction surgery and placement of internal fixations. The victim also suffered scars at the site of the surgery and loss of rotation in her elbow.
- Passenger Car- Passenger seriously injured his knee when driver of vehicle hits tree and car burst into flames. Victim escapes death by exiting thru blown out sun roof.
